The area north of Mottola, bordering with Martina Franca and Noci, is characterized by the presence of large wooded spaces that summarize all the expressions of the territory of the Murgia, from the woods of “fragno” to the ravines. It’s present the mesophilic wood with fragno and “roverella”, mesophilic wood with holm-oak, roverella and fragno, wood and bush with holm-oak and vegetation with Aleppo pine, vegetation-garigue xerophilous with Aleppo pine. Among various woods, the one od St. Antuono is the only one with equipped picnic areas and a series of naturalistic and historical itineraries.
